Dr. Alelujah Ramirez is a Houston native who has always believed that great eye care is about more than just clear vision, it's about genuine connection. That belief is what drew her to optometry in the first place, and it's what continues to drive her passion for helping patients across Houston every day.
Dr. Ramirez earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, followed by a residency in ocular surgery and ocular disease at Parkhurst Nuvision in San Antonio, where she developed a strong foundation in pre- and post-operative refractive and cataract surgery care. She went on to build her clinical expertise at Berkeley Eye Center before joining the EaDo community at Iris Eye Care.

As an EaDo optometrist, Dr. Ramirez provides comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions, including dry eye disease, myopia control, diabetic eye exams, macular degeneration, and glaucoma. She also specializes in specialty contact lenses, offering solutions for patients who have struggled to find comfort and clarity through traditional options. Whether managing a chronic eye condition or supporting a patient through surgery, she takes the time to make sure every person feels informed, confident, and cared for.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (a distinction held by fewer than 10% of optometrists), Dr. Ramirez is deeply committed to staying at the forefront of her field. But what her patients tend to remember most is how heard and cared for they feel from their very first visit.
When she's not in the clinic, you'll find her hitting the trails on her mountain bike with her husband, flowing through a yoga class (she's a certified instructor!), or planning her next adventure. A traveler at heart, she's explored everywhere from the icy landscapes of Antarctica to the sun-drenched cliffs of the Amalfi Coast - Vespa and all. She also credits growing up as the youngest of five sisters for giving her the empathy, patience, and sense of humor that make her the eye doctor she is today.
